Anyone wishing to join in should be at the South Marysburgh schoolground (the west- ern edge of Milford) by 10:30 am to register. Official opening of the fair by dignitaries and recognition of the WW II veterans in attendance is at 12:00 noon. The annual citizenship awards ceremony follows the official opening. Lots of exhibits and craft vendors to keep everyone interested. Plenty of things for the kids, including rides, a fishpond, pumpkin- painting and face painting, as well as a chance to build a bird feeder under adult supervi- sion. "Country Competitions" with vegetables, fruits, grains, flowers, cooking, arts, crafts. Something special this year, for the sixtieth anniversary -- a birthday cake for eve- ryone to enjoy, thanks to Karin and Michael Potters of Harvest restaurant, served after the citizenship ceremonies and next to the food booth. Outdoor entertainment all afternoon featuring parade bands and talented local musicians and singers. The dog show starts at 1:00 pm at the west corner of the Shed. It's a lot of fun as the dogs and their owners strut their stuff. Bingo starts at 12:30 in Bredin Hall. And there's that other kind of bingo. Tick- ets for the "cow patty bingo" go on sale at 12:30 pm. The Baby show will be at Mount Tabor Playhouse stage, with registration at 12:30 pm and the show at 1:00 pm. Enter Milford Fair's version of the Olympics, with kids' games / races starting at 2:00 pm and adult competitions starting at 2:30 pm. The Garden Tractor Pull will start at 2:00 pm, and there will be canoe races at the millpond, starting at 4:00 pm.
