EO nH Municipally Yours - Cont'd from page 4 buying the coffee, I'm happy to discuss it further. Also, if you think I voted in favour of supporting the PEFAC organization getting funds because I use the facility, you're partly correct. I'm one of the 99 men- tioned above. On the other hand, I will still be voting to support maintaining our several arenas, even though I never play hockey and municipalities are not required to provide those spaces either. However, as part of our quality of life, I believe they are essential spaces and services. As this issue of the Mirror goes to print, the Bergeron Sanctuary issue is still before Council. I voted against the motion that came before us on March 10 because there was no statement of a maximum number of ani- mals for the 8 acre site, no statement of a breakdown for those animals ( e.g. % domestic, exotic, primates, avian, etc) and no statement of a manure management plan. This zoning is for a tourist commercial use. In my experience, bylaws for these sites normally in- clude the "limitations". In terms of halting future ex- penditure of tax dollars to resolve some of the poten- tial issues that have been raised, I think these items must be covered off and the site plan be complete when it is voted on again at Council. Finally, and on a totally different note, I want to thank the Recreation Committee for all their work in providing activities for our entertainment. You may have noticed ads seeking the participation of citizens in recreation committees in other parts of the County - there's a volunteer lag in some areas and high en- ergy in others.
