This fail, September 16th as been chosen to cele- brate the 20th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope - Terry Fox Run. The Athol/ South Marysburgh school will hold their run - starting from South Marysburgh School at approx. 1:30 p.m. Our community has been overwhelming in supporting this event through giving of donations, coming to partici pate, helping in a variety of ways. Iam once again ask- ing for your support. Wouldn't it be wonderful if this could be the year we top all other years - (it would take close to $6,000!!!) ... Terry Fox ran a full marathon distance every day...42 kilometres. In order to better demonstrate to the students how far that really is, one of the teachers, Catherine O'Brien has made a commitment to run a looping 42 km. route between our two schools on the day of the run. If Catherine is willing to endure that, surely we can show our support by getting behind this event with the largest turnout ever and financial giving that reflects how much we do care. If you need information, wish to help or wish to give (and don't personally know a student with a pledge sheet handy) call our schools or contact Valencia Logan 476-5409. Thank you for all you can do to help. Wednesday, September 14th - U.C.W. will meet at South Bay United Church Hall at 1:30 p.m. Devotional - Sandra Emlaw: Roll Call - A summer story; Program - Rev.
