The ladies met at South Bay United Church Hall on Wednesday, May 11th, at 1:30 p.m. Karen Guernsey chaired the Meeting and opened with a prayer. Our theme hymn, purpose and Lord's prayer fol- lowed. Brenda Minaker's devotional was based on Matthew 5 Verses 14 to 16. The question was "Who is God?" She read an 8 year old boy's definition of who he thought God was. | wonder how many of us could define Him as well as this boy. Twelve members answered roll call with a poem or short story - most of them with a'moral. Fifteen sick call were made. The April Minutes were read and approved. Treasurer Joyce Minaker reported our finances. Our Anniversary supper for Wednesday May 25th was discussed with food and jobs meted out. We are to meet at the Church Hall on Tuesday, May 24th at 9:00 a.m. to set up tables, peel potatoes, etc. Plans were made to cater to the birder's supper on Satur- day, May 21st. Anyone interested is invited to East Minster United Church on Saturday, June 4th, to celebrate the Year Of Jubilee from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The combined Anniversary Service for South Bay United Church is on Sunday, June Sth at 10:30 am. A light luncheon will follow. Our ladies have been mnvited to join Cherry Valley U.C. W. on Wednesday, June 15th, at 8:00 p.m. Joyce Minaker's program was called "The Last Jar of Jelly". A family was down to their last jar of jelly for sandwiches. Thursday, June 9th - Milford Friendship Circle will meet at the home of Marg Purcell at 1:30 p.m. Thought For The Day - Alice Miller; Roll Call - give your maiden name and any fact connected with it; Program - write and read to the group a poem or short story you have written. Thursday, June 9th - Meeting at the Regent Theatre, in the boardroom. for all volunteers, performers, ven- dors or anyone who would like to get involved with this year's Renaissance Faire.
