Morning Glory Sun by Deborah Hudson Morning glory sun reflects a crystal world, Fragile iridescence as though in nature's dream. Hues of red and blue are strewn about and swirled. The trees are sparkling crystal with their branches bent and curled; In the early morning sunshine they glimmer and they gleam. Morning glory sun reflects a crystal world. In the eye of the beholder, a wonder lies unfurled; The trees have been transformed and my thoughts begin to teem. Hues of red and blue are strewn about and swirled. The beauty of the morning and my thoughts that have been twirled Begin to soar towards heaven for a view that is supreme. Morning glory sun reflects a crystal world. Ideas are set in motion by a view of this dreamworld; A little bit of heaven rests on earth it now may seem. Hues of red and blue are strewn about and swirled. Nature brings me peace of mind - my restless thoughts now furled; I reflect upon this moment and the chance to view this scheme. Morning glory sun reflects a crystal world; Hues of red and blue are strewn about and swirled. Sight is one of our four vital senses and comprises at least one quarter of our 'encounter' with everyday reality, hence our powers of observation have an im- mense impact on our lives. A painting or drawing is only the by-product' of some- thing far more valuable; our own unique perception developed by learning how to see. This approach to art instruction is offered by Chris Gerald Williams at St Mary Magdalene Church Hall, 339 Main Street in Picton, beginning Thursday, Feb- ruary 10™ | The subjects will be Landscape, Life Model Drawing and Still Life. Each class will be held once a week for five weeks. Beginners or advanced are wel- come. The cost for a 2% hour session is from $11. to $15. You can pick up an in- formation flyer re fees, courses and materi- als (some provided cheaply) at Books on the Bay or Olivia & Company in Picton. To register for art classes please attend at St Mary Magdalene Church Hall, Saturday, February 5% 9am to 12 or call Chris at 476-5454.
