The Accelerated Reading program is being used in grades 4 - 8 to encourage students to read books for points. Each class is trying to raise 1,000 points by the end of the school year. That will take a tremendous team effort in each class to achieve this kind of goal. And of course, the biggest benefit is that students will develop the habit of reading and hopefully learn to love books...
