Thank vou The Milford in Bloom Committee would like to thank the community for participating in this year's Easter Parade. Bunnies, barrows, bon- nets, boas, balloons, babies, bicycles and banners followed the Easter Bunny and the Bloomettes, (Olivia, Rebecca, Lindsay and Hanna) along the main street and over the bridge to the Fair Ground while enjoying Easter music played by Don Hinde. Mike Pettit for Video Variables managed to capture the leisurely action for us to enjoy later. As soon as the rules were explained, the children made a mad dash to find all the Easter Eggs hidden by the South Marysburgh Recreation Committee. Prizes were presented to the finder of the Golden Egg and for the Best Decorated Bas- ket. A large crowd enjoyed BBQ hotdogs, coffee, bottled water and pop while admiring each other's hats and costumes and taking turns having their picture taken with the friendly Easter Bunny. The Milford in Bloom Committee wish to say a special thank you to our sponsors: HICKS GENERAL STORE PURE COUNTY BOTTLED WATER JOHN & LESLEY'S NO FRILLS The Bloomers also appreciate the encour- agement and support from the South Marysburgh MIRROR, MUMMERS & RECREATION COMMITTEE and from YOU, the residents, rela- tives and friends of South Marysburgh! VIEW FROM THE TOWER Daily existence is a granite tower, A barrier that keeps us from the past; Through the windows We can glimpse the shadows That our path through life has cast. Crimson sunrise on a crystal morning, Endless summer stretching far ahead; Curlews calling Far across the meadows; Where have time and summer fled? Golden girls, wearing summer dresses, Flowing tresses scented by the sun; Soft embraces, Whispered conversations; Time has stolen, stolen every one. London buses clogging Piccadilly Vaporettos past the Bridge of Sighs; Paris mornings Under café awnings; : All are gone now, with the Paris skies. Sun-tanned father working in his garden, Pruning roses by the kitchen door; : Though he's gone now, Gathered like the roses, I shall see him through the tower door. - Alan Whiteley CTINEFBST Mon May 3: The Barbarian Invasions _ SPECIAL EVENT Hin h the works - Monday, May 3 : nual Cinefest Minifest.
