Barrels in Bloom 7 helpers =~ | get thanks We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your support of our Barrels in Bloom project. June 2™ was a perfect day for filling the 35 barrels with wood chips, potting soil and a beautiful selection of plants and flowers. Over 40 residents came out to help fill the barrels and enjoy refreshing water, iced tea, lem- onade and cookies. Everyone was amazed at the sight of 3 barrels at a time on front-end loaders moving slowly about the streets of Milford to their new locations. These barrels will be a fine reminder of a lovely summer after- noon when we all came out to work and party together. In addition to the Milford and area residents, our supporters included: Prince Edward Communities in Bloom, Connon Nurseries, The County of Prince Ed- ward, Amos Earth Products, Pure County Bottled Water, Canadian Tire, Everdean Greenhouses, Jeraniums of Bloomfield, No Frills, Quinte Isle Landscaping, Shelter Valley Greenhouses, Sunflower Fields, Walker's Green- house, Wight's Greenhouses, Ron Dubyk, The Landscape Specialist, and Bill Creasy, John Lammes and Trevor Miller (tractor drivers supreme). Thank you for your generosity and your enthusiastic support of this new project. We hope everyone had fun and will continue to enjoy the barrels for many years. - Pat Dubyk - Harriet de Boer - Carolynn Whiteley Craft Co-op for the local area taking shape Plans are still underway for the South Marysburgh Co- operative Market. A small group of members have been busy organizing and finding a location. They are still look- ing for interested artists and crafts people, so if you would like more information please call Bill Stearman (476-3785). "It's a very exciting project, both for the artists and the whole community. We have almost finalized a deal with someone in Milford to rent their space. The Co-operative members believe that the more business' in Milford, the more reason there is to come. And then come back with friends!", says Co-operative member Lori Farrington. "There are so many talented people in South Marys- burgh. I hope that if there is anyone reading this that is even the tiniest bit interested in selling a product...be it paintings, wool crafts, wood carving, pottery, whatever...that they call and get more details. The more people we have involved, the better chance we have of success." Circle Notes Madder Than a Wet Cat Municipally Yours Computer Tips Druelia Acantha Malvina Signs to Ponder Library Notes
