RR Milford Community x Trienashis Circle A REAR The ladies met at Milford Town Hall on Thursday, November 8th at 1:30 p.m. President Gillian Parker opened with this thought by John Updike - Now that I am 60, I see why the idea of elder wisdom has passed from currency. Gillian's Thought For The Day was a reading about old age. (I wonder why she chose this subject?) Secretary Marg Ceh read and moved the adoption of the minutes of the October Meeting seconded by Marg Purcell. Carried. Roll call was limericks produced by the ladies of the Circle and 1 must say they were very good! Treasurer Wilma Creasy and card secretary Freda Spice capably reported on their respective duties. As Freda is taking an extended leave of absence for a few months, Marg Crouse volunteered to send cards while she is gone. As usual, we decided to donate money to 12 worthy organizations in the amount of $1,950.00. Unfortunately, & 1] due to our decreasing numbers and increasing ages, we re going to have to abandon some of our money mking ventures for next year. But - we will continue to make Bh quilts for the homeless and also have a quilt to sell tickets & on for as long as we are able. 4. PPP So we ask anyone who may be interested in helping with Bl these projects to contact anyone connected with the : Friendship Circle - or better still - just come and join our group. We have a lot of fun doing what we do. The ladies voted unanimously to engrave Eleanor Forbes name on our Member of the Year Trophy as she has been very generous in donating toward our group. Our December Meeting will be a pot luck 12 noon lunch at Barb Balsillie's on Thursday, December 6th, for a <8 social time only.
