Community website for Milford and area A community web site - www.milford.on.ca - has been created by Peter Allen of Milford for Milford and surrounding area. We're all welcome to use this site - for FREE. Peter Allen works in Toronto weekdays developing computer software and, so, with his expertise, has very generously created this site for our use. Those wishing to advertise, to add their own site, or to post messages or upcoming events, may contact Peter Allen or Des Marcille. Peter's wish is that this site will become a regular and useful community access point, benefiting all of us in the neighbourhood. Either Peter or Des will be happy to modify things somewhat for groups wanting to add a link from their site to Milford's, or you may do your own modification, after discussing it with either of them. For instance, I could ask our camera club to donate their best Milford area photos of birds, animals, flowers, landscapes, parades etc. and have a photo webpage made up and added to the Milford site. A page by The Mummers and Mt. Tabor would be a splendid addition. All the local businesses such as MoPo Acres, Black River Cheese, Milford Coffee Gallery etc. could do individual pages for their businesses, or get together and do one together. A page by the farmers, the fishers, the library, and/or The Mariner's Museum would also be most welcome. Peter has gone to lots of work and expense to get us all started so feel FREE to go on from here. It will reflect the effort we all put into it so give it your best shot. The first home-page link is a general welcoming message from Peter himself . The second home-page link is for us to access daily events and local messages - Milford Community Bulletin Board: Free for All (talk among yourselves). Voice an Opinion, Upcoming Events for the area. There is a "Looking for: need something done or need someone to help you" section. "Garage sales/auctions/for sale - post it here". "What do you want to see here" - Peter asks for your ideas. The third category is Website Links which so far have listings for Bed and Breakfasts, Cottages, Restaurants, and Points of Interest. It has an extensive list of Milford Area Businesses also.
