Published for and about local people and Chris Mackay to perform at Mt. Tabor { suppose, if one is to make any difference anywhere, one should start in one's own community. Through the last year, if there was one group of people that | could count on it was the people of this community ' that I'd been supported by in all the years before. When 1 woke up in ICU close to a year ago | made a promise to myself to return to the stage at Mount Tabor a year from that waking moment to let my good friends in on all the madness pain, and optimism that would develop from that moment forward. Icordially invite everyone to join me at (the newly varnished) Mount Tabor on July 24th for a lighthearted retrospective of one of the craziest years one could ever expect to have. (Call it "sitdown comedy" if you will.) It will be a night of music, laughter and positivity that | wish to share with the people who instilled these traits in me in the first place. Tickets will be $10 and can be purchased at the Milford Coffee Gallery, Hicks General Store, The Inn at the Lake on the Mountain Resort and Books on the Bay, All proceeds will go towards the Standing Ovation Foundation for spinal cord research. On that note, | suppose it is important to mention that this will be the inaugural show for Standing Ovation; the first show of a foundation that will raise money for spinal cord research through entertainment. In that respect, | guess I'd better get to work on said show (aptly titled "Moving On") as to guarantee that the first show will set the pace for all the entertainment that will follow. Thanks again, and | look forward to seeing everyone on July 24th, remain, - Chris Mackay Num ber 7 i VOLUME XV. events Thank your Lucky Stars!
