Margaret Ceh's minutes were read and approved. For roll call an exchange of green items produced some interesting objects. Our card secretary has been busy sending out cards to sick, bereaved and those with new babies. We will be having a speaker from the Heart and Stroke Society at our May meeting. A donation will be given to the 4H members to participate in the Trash Bash for our group as we aren't as supple as we used to be. Dates to keep in mind for acquiring treasures from F.C. are: Yard sale at Milford Town Hall on Saturday, June 2nd, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Craft Sale at Picton Legion Hall on Saturday June Sth from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The ladies were pleased to receive thank you notes ac- - knowledging the quilts, hats, mitts, etc. that have been do- nated to various groups. One lady received a quilt for her son through Alternatives for Women; also Dixon Hall and Windfall in Toronto who distribute our items to the home- less in that city. We also received thank-yous from Alz- - heimers and Christian Children's Fund for donations. Hostesses Jean Burrows and Mary Creasy served a light lunch to conclude our meeting. Footnote - If anyone has any flannelette sheets or blankets which they no longer need, The Friendship Circle would be pleased to use them as fillers for the quilts we make for the homeless.
