Talent Show Results This year 35 kids 3'to 14 23 acts of all descriptions. Competition was tough, but official judges John Burns & Louise O'Donnell made the final decision. Notes The first meeting of the amalgamation of the three units met at South Bay Church Hall on Tuesday, J anuary Oth, at 1:30 p.m. Acting president Joyce Minaker capably conducted the meeting, with Margaret Crouse recording the minutes. Dodie Dance's devotional was on the theme "Dance like no one is watching - treat every day as if it is your last - because it could be." The nominating committee presented the follow- ing people for the necessary positions - accepted by all. President - Brenda Minaker; Vice - Alice Miller; Treasurer - Joyce Minaker; Secretary - Marge Drury; Pianist - Sandra Emlaw; Card Secretary - Donna Loney; Flower Co-ordinator - Pat York; U.C.W. rep. to Official Board - Alice Miller; Phone Volunteers - Merle Evans. It was decided not to have secret pals but to ex- change gifts at Christmas. The meetings will be held each month on the 2nd Monday at 1:30 p.m. It was also de- cided to keep the lunches simple - e.g. cookies and tea. Inga Scott volunteered to come each quilting day - Wednesdays - to oversee the making of crafts for the tea in December. So - any lady who doesn't quilt - come and do crafts. The ladies made a motion to give a fruit basket to our caretaker, Kenn Taylor, to show our appreciation and that our thoughts are with him.Several ladies volunteered to take cookies to our annual congregational meeting on Sunday, January 21st, 7:30 p.m. The president closed with prayer, tea, cookies and a social time concluded the meetings.
