Friendship Circle Notes Milford Community Friendship Circle ladies held their June meeting in South Marysburgh Township HII in Milford on June 12, 1997. President, Jean Burrows welcomed the ladies with her gem "Don't be afraid to go out on a limb--that's where the fruit is." Barbara Balsille gave the thought for the day "Take time to work, think, play, read, worship, being friendly, dream and to love." The roll call was answered by eighteen members. In answer to the question "Where would you like to live if you couldn't live here?" All answered that they would like to stay right here but reluctantly gve a second choice. Minutes of the May meeting were read by secretary June Miller. Minutes were approved by Mary Parsons and seconded by Effie Ross Correspondence of thank you cards were read. Collection for birthday, regulr expenses, membership dues and treats for happiness for the Christian Children'd fund wee received. Treasurer's report was given by treasurer Wilma Creasy. A motion to pay all outstanding bills was made by Alice Miller and seconded by Eleanor Forbes. Arrangements for the memorial reception for our late president, Dora Barth, were made for the lunch to be served on Sunday, July 20th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Milford Town Hall. Quilts nd the sale of tickets was discussed. A schedule of those to help at the Arts and Craft show on July 31st was made. We were reminded to work on crafts and other items for our Harvest Tea on October 18th in Milford Town Hall. A Chinese auction was conducted with Alice Miller as auctioneer.
