The four strategic themes outlined in the 2023-2026 Strategic Business Plan include: The Plan’s themes, goals and actions reflect what matters most to our residents, businesses and community partners. The Plan will support the delivery of Regional programs, services and infrastructure to residents as our community continues to grow. Community Well Being To support the development of the Plan, residents, businesses and community partners as well as Indigenous People, Communities and First Nations were engaged in a public consultation process. Public engagement activities included an online survey, virtual public meetings and a community partner meetings. Input received helped to inform the Plan and ensure it reflects what matters most to the community. The Budget Directions Report helps us maintain our track record of keeping property tax increases low while delivering high-quality programs and services that support our community. The Report identifies priority investments in critical services despite significant pressures. In order to maintain service levels, the 2024 Budget will address key pressures including the impacts of high inflationary cost increases, development funding changes as a result of Bill 23, and shortfalls in Provincial funding commitments, particularly for Public Health and Long-Term Care. : The 2024 Budget and Business Plan is scheduled to be : reviewed by Regional Council on December 6, 2023 and : consideration of approval is scheduled for December 13, : 2023.
