VOLUME |, ISSUE 7 THE ACTON MONTHLY PAGE 13 185 years of Churchill speaks about ‘perseverance, longevity, & eternity of the gospel’ (Continued from page 11) Since becoming minister at Churchill, Rev. Bedell has lead his congregation through more changes and challenges that have happened within the past decade, such as renovations for better accessibility and the more recent COVID-19 Pandemic. Despite the difficulties that the church has faced, Rev. Bedell says they are fortunate that members of the congregation walked through the challenge and ensured that church duties continued, whether that be through in-person services, when permitted during the pandemic, or virtual services via the internet. Now that Churchill has reached its anniversary of 185 years as a church, Rev. Bedell feels that such a milestone speaks about perseverance, longevity, and the eternity of the gospel. He adds that his church is blessed to not suffer from the turmoil that many churches currently face, mostly in part to the fact that decisions concerning Churchill urch are made through the congregation itself— rather than being given orders from a denomination— while carrying out a service to the community and beyond, all for the glory of God. “I think we've got many more years left and I think we need to continue to look, not only at ourselves and our own worship and spirituality, but also outside our- selves, as we do, and seek opportunities to help others, love others, and be a blessing to others, as the spirit moves and as the opportunities arise.” Willow Lane _Natural Foods Gok 4.
