PAGE 4 THE ACTON MONTHLY VOLUME |, ISSUE 4 EDITORIAL With Scott Brooks The weather has always been a topic of interest amongst most conversations, and this winter, there has been quite the talk when it comes to weather in Acton and surrounding area. What started out as cold and snowy at Christmas time, has since been relatively “non-winter like” or “mild”. If you are the type who prefers warmer-than- average temperatures and less snow, then it seems you are in luck for the remainder of this winter season. Thad the pleasure of talking to a meteorolo- gist, from Environment Canada, who shared with me the science behind the recent weather events and a bit of what we can expect for the rest of the season. r this is the kind of talk that intrigues you, chen I encourage you to read the article on page 6 in this edition of The Acton Monthly, as it dives into recent weather data and even some not-so-recent records of Acton’s weather, dating back to the 1840s! You may even be surprised by those findings. Regardless of what is predicted or not, it will be interesting to see what actually happens and that we must always be prepared as the season isn’t over until it’s over. So, whether you enjoy the mild side or colder truths of winter, just embrace what may come our way and let nature take its course.
