Stay to Whits for my meals and to night | am over home feeling some lonesome as the night is a little rough raining like fury. 7. | helped Tomas Wattam repair fence in the after noon and after Tea Harry and | went down to Bowermans creek spearing Suckers we got 22. 8. | helped Tom all day build fence and along towards night Mr. Spafford came up drove up Flora. We are having rather cold weather and to night it is thundering and Lightening which denotes colder weather. 9 Cow came in this morning. Mr. Spafford and | were over to Mr. Colliers for dinner. Along in the afternoon Mr. Spafford and | started for the Point we stoped at Uncle Nath's for Tea then went on threw to Milford and stoped there for the Speeches. Mr. Johnson from ille the main sf her. It was an extremely cold night for the time of year. And we were both nearly froze when we arrived home time about 12 oclock. 10. | felt sure when | arised this morning that the frost will do a lot of damage threw the country. Mirt and | left Mr. Spaffords for home in the afternoon. And sure enough | learned that last nights frost froze about 4 thousands of my To- mato plants. It froze ice down at corker's about 3/4 of a inch thick. | got a pig of Tom to night. 11. The weather has changed some and has been warmer today although it froze ice the thickness of a pane of glass. Mirt and | have been home all day. 12. After dinner Mirt and | went down to Picton tryed to rain some. 13. Whit and | went down to Picton. | took 15 bus of potatoes down sold them to L Whight @ 43 1/3 per bus. We are having some nice weather at present. 14. Whit and | drew manure back on my potatoe patch. Got out 20 loads to- day.
