In my case, many of those someones all work for the On- tario Labour Board and they are my heroes. Not only have they helped others but they helped me, too. I worked for over 5 years until June 2008, at which time I quit to do a cycling adventure for most of the summer and to retire, as well. In Sep- tember, I hired back on as part-time, mainly to help out with the Christmas rush but stayed on for an entire year whereupon we were let go because the company hired people in the Philippines to do our job. Our municipal government is not broken but I expect some new approaches to old issues. The common thread that dominated our past election campaigns was “control our spending”. I believe this common goal will produce an ef- fective working group that will be considering all our county taxpayers as primary stakeholders. It won’t surprise me when we councilors be- come protective of our respective wards during deliber- ations and I’ll have no problem with this. Every corer of this municipality is steeped in its own diverse culture from agriculture viticulture and arts to marine, fishing, retail and recreation. Ultimately the decision must bene- fit the primary stakeholder. would like to see a process that determines the ag- gregate benefits of each prong of our culture to our lifestyle and to our economy. I believe we can balance our spending while sustaining what makes this county special. lam excited to be your representative on coun- cil and thank you for your support.
