Sixteen members were greeted by president Sandra Emlaw with her opening story illustrating that an in- stant happening can influence your life forever. Our theme hymn, purpose and the Lord's prayer put us in the right frame of mind. Roll call was answered with a cute or moral saying. Twenty-one sick calls were made. Maureen Rudd's devotional was based on the differences of Mary and Martha. In life we have to do a balancing act to get our priorities straight but we also need time to savour life's experiences. Secretary Carolyn Barnes' May minutes were re- ceived as correct. We finalized our plans for our fish fry to take place on June 26, from 4:30 to 7pm. Our collection was taken and dedicated. Karen Guernsey once again informed us of more of the history of Milford and our township. Thanks to Jean Minhinnick and Ann Farwell we have an essential library which fills the needs of many peo- ple. The meeting proper was closed with prayer. The ladies then congregated around the table to enjoy the refreshments provided by Carol Brans- combe and Carolyn Barnes. Brenda Minaker thanked our hostesses on behalf of all present. UCW and Friendship Circle ladies please note - there will be no meetings for the months of July and August. Our meeting closed with our UCW prayer.
