President San- dra Emlaw roused the ladies from their euphoric state by starting the meeting proper with the thought - May the winds of adversity never blow your way. Skip's de- votion was based on Mark 21, verses 18 to 22. The theme was about prayers answered and unanswered. Selfish prayers may not be answered but often we learn lessons from their refusal. Fourteen members answered roll call with limericks or entertaining poems. Twenty- three sick calls were made. Two sympathy cards and three get well cards were sent to members in the com- munity. Secretary Carolyn renewed our memories of the February meeting. Upcoming Events Sun April 4 - Those interested are invited to attend the sunrise service at 6:30am at Little Bluff. A light break- fast will be served at South Bay United Church follow- ing this service. Sunday June 6 - South Bay United Church will be cele- brating their anniversary at this service with a pot luck lunch to follow. Wed July 8 - The church ladies are catering a luncheon for a group of 220 people. 29. A planning meeting will be held at our church on Collection was received and dedicated.
