Card secretary Mary sent 6 cards to members in the community. Our money was collected and our finances revealed and — we had no bills to pay. President Marg closed with a risqué story entitled Nine Months Later. We were then treated to a program called County Quest — interviews recorded of older citizens in the county, relating some of their experience. Monica treated us once again with homemade good- ies, thanked by Barb Balsillie. South Bay UCW UCW met at South Bay United Church hall Wed May 13 at 12 noon to enjoy a pot luck lunch together. President Sandra Emlaw opened the meeting at 1:30pm by reading us some benefits of growing old. Our theme hymn, purpose and Lord's Prayer followed. Carolyn Bames' devotional affirmed that we are held in the palm of God's hand. We sang the hymn The Lord’s My Shepherd. Praise works wonders for getting tasks accom- plished and since women contribute so much, this needs to e affirmed. Twelve members answered roll call by showing interesting photos. Eighteen sick calls were made.
