One final thought on the matter. I am not suggesting for a moment that councilors are doing a less than adequate job of representing their electorate. (we have an excellent representative in Monica) I am however suggesting that in respect of the decision making processes where the rubber meets the road, the greater the number of people involved the more protracted the decision making process is likely to become. (Not always a good thing) No point in spinning our wheels on that issue. Let us move on to other things. We are an ‘island’ which relies on tourism to support much of our econo- my. We are also a place to which people approaching their retirement years wish to move to because of its beauty. All of that could change...and quickly!!! Those of us who take the Glenora ferry and travel to Kingston along that beautiful coastal drive have been struck by the dramatic landscape change on Amherst/Wolfe Is- lands. Perhaps council should have a referendum on this subject because actions taken now will impact Prince Edward County for decades to come. Remember, it is what we value, not what we have that makes us ric! - Pastor Ian. CHECK THE ADS!
