Started prayer meeting at the Union. Thur. 2 I helped Philip McCrimmon thrash. After dinner Pa and I ploughed. Fri.3 Pa and I ploughed on the flats been a lovely day hope it continues for two or three weeks. Sat. 4 It has rained all day. I was out to League last night. The Bay League was down. Sunday 5 Quartly meeting at the Carman not very large at- tences. Roads where very muddy and bad. Mon. 6 Finished ploughing the sod in the first field on the flats. Emmet is here to day. His horse is very lame and stiffened up been so for a long time. Tue.7 Finished ploughing on the flats and ploughed the Gar- den. Aunt Patience here today for dinner. Wed. 8 Archie come home last night. All threw working for Mr. Jackson. We are having nice weather now. Thur. 9 Worked at the calf stable finished ning the logs and put the rafters on it. Been nice and warm all Fri. 10 Pa, Ma and I went over to Picton. The vende where quite bad. Sat.11 Little stormy most of the day. Archie and I went up to the cider mill after the rest of the cider. Archie hired to Dave McIntosh to plough and I hired to Albert to dry ap- ples nights. Pa and Ma went up to Jakes. Sunday 12 Archie stopped at Alberts this morning coming home from Mr. Jackson and I come down home with him. When we got home we found Mary E and Emmet greaving over the acident of their horse. Which got caut in the stable last night and about dead this moming. I am very sor- ry for it is all the horse he has. Mon. 13 Emmit's horse is no better this morning no she cant live. We took her down in the Sap bush and I shot her. Emmet is moving up to his place near Picton. Tue.14 I worked in the Evaporater last night and have slept most all day to day. Wed. 15 Pa sold the Bull. Took him over to Picton today. Went over with Emmet with a Thur. 16 Been drying apples every night this week. Get pret- ty lonesome and sleepy in the night. We are having nice weather now. Fri.17 Emmet took his last load of stuff up to his new place to day. I slept all day so to be ready for the night drying apples. Sat. 18 I slept till about two oclock today felt quite rested out. Got to go up to night again. This has been a very nice after noon. Warm. Nov.19 Sunday Annie Maud, Nelse, Ida, Dan was here. It rained a little in the four noon. After noon I went down to the Union to meeting. Mon. 20 Pa and I made a new bridge up by Joan Rose's Tue. 21 Pa took Mary Ellen over to her new place at Picton. They went on uP to Nelse Cahaone bought Maud back again. $20. We. 22 I been ning apples this week. Wish I was threw. Slept till two oclock today. Been very warm all day. Thu.23 George Mouck funneral serman preached to day at the Bay. Jake come down today to help finished the cow stable off. Fri. 24 Still we are having fine weather. Pa and Jake working at the stable. Sat. 25 Not going to dry apples to night. We about finished the stable to day. I felt pretty blue all day. not having any sleep to day. Jake went home today. Nov. 26 Sunday. After dinner Archie and I went down to the union to meeting. Mon. 27 Pa started for Bloomfield with Wheat going up as far as Jake's and they are going together. We heard the news this moming that Till Welbanks was dead. Died Sunday Morning very sudden. She did a big day's work on Saturday and Sunday Morning at Eight oclock she was lead. Tue. 28 Finished drying apples last night had a little sleep to day. Pa Ma went to the funneral. Mr. Will Welbanks Wife. The serman was preached at the creek and she was burried there. Wed. 29 Pa and I picked up the stone on the young orchard. Then started to plough it. After dinner I went up to George Tom Parkinson got Blase shod. Went up to John Thompson for Tea. Archie working there. Thur.30 Maw and I went over to Picton. Ida and Dan where over. The roads where excellent. I order a new suit of cloths at Fralicks.
