|The South Marysburgh Mirror Milford Community Crouse hosted the Circle ladies on Thurs- day, Noveniber 1 at 1:30 pm. President Mary Creasy welcomed everyone and opened with this thought: "Choose well. You choice is brief and yet endless." Barb Balsillie's Thought for the Day was con- cerning a war pilot who was lost because of the fog. In- credibly, the fog parted to reveal a church steeple which guided him to his landing. Secretary Marge Drury's October minutes were approved as read. Seven members answered roll call by indicating what section of the newspaper they read first. I look at the obituaries and if my name isn't there, I'm good till the next time. Card secretary Marg Crouse sent 2 cards. Treasurer Wilma Creasy looked after business - taking money in and sending it out where needed. We donated money to ten worthy causes. We put together 15 quilts for the homeless at Mil- ford Town hall on October 25. We'd like to thank the in- terested ladies who volunteered their services. Our next session for making quilts at the hall will be Tuesday, Nov. 20. The ladies voted for the member of the year for 2007 - the winner - Mary Creasy, whose name will be inscribed on our plaque. Our officers all clamoured to keep their present position for 2008. Margaret volunteered to record the minutes during the winter if Marge can't make it. Brenda Linneman volunteered to have our Christ- mas pot luck lunch on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 12 noon. lary closed the meeting by reading some New- foundlander's witticisms after which we enjoyed Mar- garet's delicious lunch.
