Just because it's the beginning of a new life, does that mean you have to make a big thing of it? With me, things didn't change that much. In my former life I lived on a farm and took orders from my father. After I married, I lived on a farm and took orders from my husband. One perk I did get after I mar- ried, I got to sleep with the boss. Okay. So I had never worn a long dress before and I can't recall ever wearing a white one. And I never carried a bouquet of flowers with a dress before. After all, it fills yours hands so they aren't available to do anything else. Is this any reason to get all worked up and ex- hausted? Not in my books. You sink a lot of money in a white wedding dress and only wear it once. Even if you get married again, you're not supposed to wear white as you no longer a virgin. Ha! How many brides today are virgins, I ask you? It seems this is one wedding tra- dition that has gone down the tubes. Actually, when you stop to think about it, marriage itself is almost an antiquated tradition.
