Chris Pengelly and Veronica Andersson are realizing their dream in reopening what has to be called a fixture of the County. Visiting the County in the fall of 2006, they fell in love with both the County and Milford. After months of analysis and talking with many people from the County, they purchased the Bistro. Hopefully ready for the long weekend in May, they are planning on bringing a whole new concept in dining experience to the area. Opening for both lunch and dinner, the menus will be significantly different. Lunch will see menu items barbecued over real hardwood charcoal served with assorted salads. Relaxed and casual could best describe the whole luncheon ap- proach. Open from 11:30 to 3pm, Chris & Veronica hope to appeal to local residents as well as the many bicyclists and wine tasting visitors to the Count Dinner will offer upscale bistro dining featuring lovingly prepared appetizers, delicious entrees and irre- sistible desserts in a candlelit environment from 5pm to Continued on page 10 Milford’s Fifth Annual Easter Parade Resounding Success! Thanks to all the chicks, bunnies, lions, children and adults that braved the cold to make this year’s Easter parade a great success. Who would have thought the crowds would come with cold temperatures and snow squalls. What amazing community spirit! The Easter egg hunt, Pifiata, best decorated basket, Loonie hotdogs, and HOT CHOCOLATE were once again a big hit with the children. An event such as this could not take place without Continued on page 4 ‘Doctor in The House’ is Back!! In May 2002, the hilarious comedy, ‘Doctor in The House’ was performed on The Regent Theatre Stage as a fundraiser for the theatre. The cast, all local doctors and nurses, raised $10 000 that helped keep the Regent afloat at that time. Now, five years later, the play is coming back, but this time to Mount Tabor Community Playhouse in Mil- ford. Again the cast consists of local doctors and nurses who are presently rehearsing under the direction of Al Ha- zell, director of the original performance. This time, all pro- ceeds above costs will be donated to Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation. The story, originally portrayed in the 1954 movie, was written in script form by Ted Willis in 1957. Adapted from the novel by Richard Gordon about the off duty lives of a group of medical students, this play weaves their happy triumphs and brave failures, love affairs and parties into a many colored pattem. The play provides a good variety of character parts. Simon Sparrow becomes the new roommate of Tony Grimsdyke and John Evans. All three strive to balance medical school, women friends and their fondness for par- tying.
