|, The South Marysburgh Mirror] 1 Municipatlly Yours Well, it’s an interesting Council and the press, except for dear Des, seem to be having a field day! The pub- lic can attend any municipal meeting except for parts designated “closed”and they can actually be quite en- tertaining. At least I find I’m enjoying them lately. Meetings can only be “closed” for matters dealing with individuals, personnel matters, property acquisi- tion and legal issues. You can find meeting schedules by month at the pecounty.on.ca website or you can always check with me if you have an issue and want to know how and what committee deals with it. So enough about “municipally yours” ” and on to the planned topic of “locally ours.” My kids grew up with Mr. Rogers Neighbourhood and that opening song that includes the line “ It’s a beautiful day in the neighbourhood. Won’t you be mine? Won’t you be mine? Won’t you be my neigh- bour?” Within our township, we have some groups of people that are good neighbours to us all. I’m guess- ing that you don’t know the names of all these people so I want to list them here and thank them - and then OFFICE FOR RENT at the Milford Town Hall. Call 613-476-1159 ex 29 for more information hope, when and if you meet them, you also express your gratitude for the many things they do. Cathy Walker ( retiring) Jerry Ferguson ( retiring) Robin Ferguson (retiring) Judy Zeleny (retiring) Darlene McCaw (retiring) Patsy Creasy Paul Creasy Karen Gyde Doug Gyde Brent Walker Bruce Dowdell (Mummers) Monica Alyea So you can see this Committee is in need of your con- sideration to be a volunteer. It’s a lot of fun and the “standard setters” for that fun attitude will be greatly missed as they choose to take a break. Thank you soooocoo.much Joel, Cathy, Jerry, Robin, Judy and Darlene for ensuring we had some entertaining and wonderful things to do as a community over your many collective years of service.
