Her musical styles run the gamut from gypsy fable to swing to the con- temporary roots-pop sound uniquely her own. Brief Bio: With appearances on radio and tv as well as hun- dreds of concerts at small and large venues and festivals across Canada and the U.S., Graves' three independent re- leases as a singer songwriter have gamered consistent praise. She spent five years performing with the four wom- en acapella group Malaika, touring the U.S. and releasing two full length CD’s. Her last CD ‘Stray’ was aired on CBC’s Richardson’s Round-up & Heartland as well as nu- merous campus radio stations. Graves was born in Halifax and has lived in BC and Ontario most of her life. She makes rural Ontario her home, living in a quaint one-room schoolhouse near Balderson. She has studied jazz vocal improvisation and performance with Sheila Jordan (Banff Centre for the Arts, NY State). Christine was nominated for the KM Hunter Award by the Ontario Art’s Council in 2000.
