His father was a career Canadian Armed Forces veteran who served his country for over twenty four years including a post- ing at CFB Trenton. He completed high school in 1976 in Kincardine, Ont and began his career at On- tario Hydro at Bruce Nuclear Power Development. Trans- ferred to Pickering in 1986 he spent the remainder of his career in the greater Toronto area. A newspaper article on stained glass construction was the inspiration for his new ca- reer path. The following two years he completed numerous stained glass courses at several established studios in Toronto. He exhibited at their annual show at the Consilium in Scarborough. He moved to Picton in April 2005 and opened Pete’s Stained Glass from his home studio in July at 168 School House Road. Peter’s work was exhibited last year in the Art in the County. Mr Doyle’s work is also on exhibit at the Cham- ber of Commerce office in Picton, the Cherry Valley Restau- Fundraising for Weekend To End Breast Cancer Barb Guernsey & Annette Keogh invite every- one to join them in thier fundraising efforts for The Weekend to End Breast Cancer. This is for the 60 km walk in Toronto on September 9th and 10th that sup- ports breast cancer research at The Princess Margaret Hospital; Each walker must raise a minimum of $2000. The first event is a yard sale on Saturday July 1st at 355 Morrison Point Rd. There will be 2 tables of items for sale in which the monies will go directly to- wards the w: The second event is a Home and Gift Home Show with consultant Jennifer Leavitt and will be held on July 15th at 70 Morrison Point Rd (log home). Any- one is welcome to drop in between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm to view and order items from the Home and Gift Catalogues. Only credit cards and cash are accept- ed, no debit or cheques. A portion of the sales will go towards donations for Barb and Annette's walk. Breast cancer ribbon items such as car mag- nets, key chains, coin purses, toe rings etc will be for sale at each of these events.
