|The South Marysburgh Mirror Water, Water Everywhere!! - Cont'd from page 5 presumably are sitting under a baobab tree contemplating the fate of nations or shooting one another. How do the men in third world countries get away with this? The heaviest chores go to the women. Washing, gardening, water fetching, wood fetching, children raising, and cooking fall to the women. The men apparently stroll around bragging about their hunting skills, and may actually go hunting once or twice in their lives. I have a feeling that if we in North America had to tote water, it wouldn’t be the women doing it... though we men would try our darndest to make that happen. We have to thank our geography that we sit beside the largest repository of fresh water in the world. Meanwhile, we’re doing all that we can to make it undrinkable. -George Underhill NOTICE All enquiries regarding use of the Milford Town Hall should be directed to the County offices at 476-1159 You're Invited..... to the “Official” opening of the Milford Bridge to the “Official” unveiling of the “Milford circa 1912" mural to the “Official” unveiling of the “Birds, Butterflies and Books” mural on the Library to the really Official unveiling of a “History of Milford “ plaque and for some snacks!
