June 7 Planted three more rows of Potatoes in the swamp. The last row are different kind be careful when diging. The wind has blew very hard to day. We are working at the com ground. June 8 Paw and Maw went over to Picton Paw was Ju- reman. They went down to Jake's Sarah Eliza Rorke was here fixing a dress for Mary Ellen. We had a rain last night. June 9 rained most of the day. I went up to Milford after Calvin Lowry. He has been sick this spring and hasn't did any work. June 11 I went down to Dan's dragged over a piece of corn ground and marked it out for him. Paw Ganged ploughed the swamp . We are having nice warm weather now. June 16 Paw and Mary Ellen went over to Picton. Mary Ellen got two teeth out. Paw got a bushel of beans from ???? I started to plough the fifth field back. June 17 drilled the beans in the swamp. Paw ploughed back we are having nice weather now. June 18 Paw and I ploughed back in the fifth field till noon. After dinner we cultivated the garden out. Stirling has a sore foot. Paw and Jake Hyatt took him up to Mil- ford to the Doctor. The doctor says it's a stone bruise and it will gather and break. June 19 I went up to the Sand Banks the Patrons had a picnic. There was a large crowd there. It was very warm in the after noon. Stratton Lawry, Lida McCrimmon, Myrtle Spafford and I had our pictures taken at the Banks. We all came down to Philip McCrimmons and. stayed all night. Some time in the night there was an alarm clock went off, which scared us all most to death. I run jump in a bed. Strat fell over a stove, Lida run and blew the light out, Mirt run of in some corner of the house most scared to death. June 20 Sunday I was down to the Union to meeting. Mr. Anderson preached his farewell serman every body is very sorry that he is going to leave the circiut. The class at Store School appointment got him a cane for a present that cost $6.50cts. And the Carman appointment a present worth, June 25 Paw and I hoe'd corn and fixed the fence in the swamp. Archie is ploughing down to Dan's. There was a lawn social at the Union Church. Calvin and Cealia Paw and maw Archie I all went down. There was a large crowd. Mr. Anderson and our new minister Rev. Mr. Boyce were there. June 27 Sunday Stratton Lowrey and I went down to Mr. Edward Rorke's visting. Rev. Mr. Boyce preached his first serman at the Union Church. June 28 Paw and Archie finished howing the corn in the second field. It is very warm and everything is needing rain. June 29 It rained all day long and a lovely rain it was to. Fur it was needed very bad. Paw and I worked in the barn laying a floor over the cow stable and making a trap door to feed the cows threw. June 30 Everything is growing so nice after the rain.
