Minutes of the ¥ past meeting were read and a motion approved to have Irene Stanton fill the vacancy on the Board of Directors. Consider able correspondence was read by Corresponding Secretary Lill= ian Christie, and a motion to again join the Provincial Aux- iliary to the Homes for the Aged. Treasurer's report given by Estelle Wallwin and she accepted further receipts from Vic Winters for recent hockey pools. Conveners reporting were: Sick and Visiting = Estelle Wallwin; Volunteer Services - Gertrude Cotton and Membership = Elsie Cooke. The President thanked all those who had worked on the Games Night before finalizing plans for the student entertainment under Mrs. Ann Wilkes on Valentine's Day. A discussion on smoking during meetings found the ventila- tion in the Recreation room and seating arrangement much more satisfactory. Thanks were expressed to Mina Mahoney for her assistance. Betty Cruickshank will look after the Residents' Birthday Party for February and it will be held on Thursday the 22nd at 2 p.m. She had arranged for some entertainment and her suggestion for a small gift was agreed upon. Cathy Gallen- berger will look into this further. The Corresponding Secre- tary was requested to write other groups in both Schreiber and Terrace Bay with regard to taking one of the monthly bir- thday parties each. Lillian Belliveau said the C.W.L. of Terrace Bay are. prepared to take the March party.
