JANUARY 24, 1979 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 23 GOULD Word has just been received on the death of Bob Gould in 1973 BUSINESS DIRECTORY The whole community expresses their sympathy to Clara and Fred and sisters Nancy and Gail. MEMORIAL SERVICE HELD FOR BOB GOULD: A Memorial Service was held Sunday, January 14, 1979 at 2:30 for the Tate Bob Gould at the Terrace Bay Community Church. Rev. Bigelow officiated with Ellen Hodgkiss at the Organ. Bob was born in Terrace Bay, October 21, 1951 and died at age 21. He attended Terrace Bay Public and High School, Community Church, Junior Choir, Terrace Bay Band, Sea Cadets, Cubs, Scouts. and Minor Hockey. He graduated from Sir Winston Churchill High School, Thunder Bay. He is survived by his father and mother Fred and Clara Gould and sisters Nancy and Gail. IN MEMORIAM: Bobs « Like a soaring bird, he wanted to be free, And that's what he intended to be, He captured the world within his hands, And said Nature is where all men should stand, Grow their own gardens, depend on themselves, Enjoying simplicity rather than wealth. Living and enjoying the great outdoors, No need to bolt or lock the doors, Taking in the beauty around, The place where peace of mind is: found, No aires to put on for others to see, In God's domain one can be free, Free from pollution and winding long roads, Nature, in value, is worth far more than gold. God created the world and it was good, For us to make use of the best we could, Once in the wilderness, far away, I's where some people can be led astray; Following someone who claimed to love God, But he turned out to be a fraud. Fear took over their strong beliefs, Filling their souls with distrust and grief. One in the group passed away, for he did not like being Ted astray. In a case like this you ask God why, At such a young age that he must die. God's reasons are sometimes hard to see, Sometimes one must fight to be free, This is a lesson for all to see: How much we need Society!
