' COUNCIL QUOTES - "REGULAR MEETING" The first regular meeting of the new council was held on December 11th at 7 p.m., following a brief meeting as "Comm- ittee of the Whole" to discuss salaries and wages for employ- ees. In attendance were Reeve C. Brassard, Councillors M. Hamil- ton, D. Speer, R. Romanuk and C. Lepine, Clerk Co-ordinator W. Hanley and M. Simmer. The public is reminded that anyone may attend council meetings, which are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month in the Council Chambers. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were adopted as presented, as well as the Special Meetings of November 22nd and 30th, at which time two new constables, Dave Smeltzer and Donna McGrath, were hired for the Terrace Bay Police Depart- ment. Dave Speer and Claude Lepine will attend a seminar for newly elected councillors on February 2nd and 3rd in Thunder Bay. The Committee of Adjustment has been authorized to attend a seminar in Thunder Bay during the spring of 1979. The Recreation Committee budget will be re-allocated for the purchase of maintenance tools. Council agreed to place an advertisement in the new High School Yearbook.
