Minutes were read and treasurer's report presented to date. Estelle Wallwin reported on cards sent to hospitalized resi- dents during November. Director of Activities for Birchwood Terrace, Mina Mahoney, listed residents presently hospitalized. Arrangements were made for purchase of Christmas plants for hos- pitalized residents and also for both Pinewood Court and Birch- wood Terrace. May Dorland thanked Beth MacAdam and Peggy Thompson for pur- chasing the Auxiliary gifts for the residents. Alma Hart, Elsie Cooke and Estelle Wallwin offered to assist in the wrapping. ~~ Betty Usher will be the Auxiliary. representative at the Christ- mas party December 15th. The annual meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 11 at 7:30 p.m. : TERRACE BAY FIGURE SKATING CLUB NEWS Congratulations to our skaters who recently passed tests: Mark Saranpaa - Dutch Waltz; Kelly Clark - Swing Waltz; Paula Bouchard - Canasta Tango; Lizy Hartman - Canasta Tango; Dolly Woods - Willow Waltz; Nancy Gerlach - Fiesta Tango; Heather Saranpaa = European Waltz and Fourteen Step. Jennifer Kodila passed her Junior Bronze Free Skating Test. The skaters were accompanied to Nipigon by Joan Clark, Presi- dent of the Club; Marilyn Saranpaa, Vice-President; their coach Elizabeth Singleton and several parents. The next event the skaters are getting ready for is the Annual North Shore Inter- club Competition to be held in Manitouwadge this year. Next test day is January 28th. Santa Claus visited us at our Junior Session on Wednesday, December 13 for a skating party for Mom, Dad and Kids. Santa donned his skates and with Tong white beard flapping the wind, proceeded to skate with the young skaters. The club this year | has 80 skaters.
