Mrs. Slater reported for the Sick and Visiting Committee. Members, Dorothy Martell, Nettie Thrower, Agnes Bryson and Chris Morris were remembered with get well messages and fruit and flowers. Mrs. Norma Fummerton was reported as a patient in McCausland Hospital. Correspondence included Christmas greetings from Lakehead Lodges and out of town and local members. Mrs. Lilian Christie was installed as Chaplain for the pre- sent term of Office. : 2 Mr. & Mrs. A. Slater attended the Christmas party for the Residents in the |.0,0.F, at Barrie. 58 Past and present board members attended the Banquet. Eirene Harness won the evening prize. MARTIN OF TOURS "SAVE A FAMILY PLAN" The St. Martin of Tours C.W.L. held its annual Christmas party on December 9, 1978 in the Parish Hall. It was preceded by a very moving "Service of Light" officiated by Father M. Murtagh. A delicious buffet dinner was served and everyone entered into the spirit of Christmas when Santa appeared and the St. Martins adult choir sung a selection of Christmas songs. The highlight of the evening was the auctioning of all the Christ- mas baking and crafts which were donated by all the members. The generosity of everyone was overwhelming and the money col- lected is being sent to the "Save A Family Plan".
