Terrace Bay, Ont. TERRACE BAY NEWS I) VOLg 21 NO, 41 DECEMBER 6th, 1978 25¢ PER COPY FORMAL FASHIONS FROM MOORE'S KINETTES' FASHION SHOW A SUCCESS Ladies of the community were treated to a "sneak preview!" of the latest shipment of holiday fashions from Moore's Clothing Store on November 26th when the Terrace Bay Kinettes staged their "Formal Fashions from Moore's" in the Community Church. A gorgeous array of lingerie, disco dresses and evening gowns were displayed by models Shirley Mayhew, Heather Niderost, Marianne Fisher, Ruth Poole, Anne Latour and Bev Cadene. Rhonda Palmer aptly convened the event. Mike Moore served as commentator following the introductory address by Darlene Zroback. Hairstyles of some of the models were arranged volun= tarily by Jeannie of "Jeannie's Place". Lucky winner of the door prize was Karen Hara, who was award- ed a gift certificate from Moore's. The Community Church Women prepared delicious dainties which were served by the Kinettes at intermission. All proceeds from the Show will go toward the purchase of wheelchairs for the new hospital. (=) (HOSPITAL TES People passing the construction site will have noticed the hospital building now has been enclosed and work inside is pro- gressing well. The recent heavy snowfalls have tended to hamp- er roof laying, since dry weather conditions are necessary for this work. We hope for a long period of dry, bright days. We have been considering the desirability of having a dis- tinctive symbol, or logo, to be used on hospita stationery, membership cards, etc., and would sincerely appreciate sugg- estions and ideas from residents in the area the hospital ser- ves. MWe hope to be able to choose from among many designs and shall welcome the community's help in choosing an appropriate logo to destinguish our new hospital. Please bring or mail sketches and ideas to the Administratorts Office in Birchwood Terrace by January 31, 1979. Suggestions from school children will be especially welcome. Aini Anderson, who has in the past worked on a casual basis, now has become a part-time member of the nursing staff. The Annual Christmas Staff Party this year will be held on the evening of December 15th at the Masonic Hall. The Ladies of the Hospital Auxiliary are again lending their talents in marking this happy season by decorating the hospital for Christmas on the evening of December 11th. The Building Fund at the first of December shows the following: Kimberly-Clark Matching Donation (40 cents to the dollar) $8,103.73 Payroll deductions: 257.00 In Memoriam : 100.00 Our Bank Balance, as of ©" ¢. 1, 1978, was: $416,845.17
