FITNESS TRAIL Work on the fitness trail (participark) has been temporar- ily halted until permission can be gained from the woodlands division of Kimberly=Clark, upon which Natural Resources will issue a cutting permit. RECREATION MEETINGS Schreiber Parks and Recreation monthly meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Schreiber Town Council Chambers, and are open to the public. Individu- al(s) or groups wishing to speak at these meetings will need to submit a letter stating the concern or request the Thursday prior to the recreation meeting. BEAVER. COLONY Parent Orientation - Participant Registration. This is the initial step in the Boy Scout Association of Canada for boys aged 5 to 8 years. On December 12, 1978 there will be an orientation-registration for all boys interested in the Town Hall basement. We request that parents discuss with their son his joining and then attend this evening with him for further information. REQUEST FOR MORE PEOPLE FOR RECREATION COMPLEX BUILDING FUND This is necessary in order to plan and do all the things that have to be done to raise the necessary dollars, from the public/private sector." SCHREIBER CURLING CLUB NEWS Yes, there will definitely be curling in Schreiber this year! As of this w iting, nothing has been heard regarding the Wintario Grant applied for. o Since our building was condemned by the Ministry, a great deal of work had to be done before we could open this year. The work has been completed! The ice is in! [t's beautiful! Although we are behind other rinks in the area, we are looking forward to a good year. This weekend is our official start with a Get Acquainted Spiel and general fun-time. |[f you have never curled - have curled a l1ittle- or - have curled a lot; come out and join in the fun. The Ladies' Mens', Mixed and Elementary School curling will be starting soon. |f you haven't already, get your name in so we can get you on a rink. Better still - enter a rink!
