Mrs. Tesolin, a resident of Pinewood Court Home for the Aged tured 90 yrs. old on October 15th. Cribbage "A" event - Peggy Thompson and Alex Tweedie, "B" event - Cliff Riley and Marg Spillane. Bridge High - Eva Dolter, Low - Rhoda Cummings. Whist High - Georgina Mackey, Low - Skip Davis. The door prize was won by Mrs. Rhoda Cummings, a newcomer to Birchwood Terrace. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY DAYS AT LAKE SUPERIOR PUBLIC SCHOOL Friday, November 3rd and Monday November 6th were busy days for the staff of the Lake Superior Public School as profes- sional activities were conducted on both of these dates. November 3rd was devoted to parent-teacher interviews on both campuses. The turnout of parents was exceptionally strong again this year. Staff members appreciated the oppor tunity to meet parents and discuss student progress with them. On Monday, November 6th the entire staff met on the Terrace Bay Campus with Miss Margaret Twomey, Director of the Lake Superior Board of Education. With Miss Twomey's guidance, the staff conducted a comparison of Ministry of Education pro- gram guidelines with programs presently in operation in the school. The latter part of the day focused on the development of strategies for implementing Ministry of Education guide- lines in the school.
