S.S. Board was held on Saturday, October 21st. With respect to the high energy costs at St. Martin School, the Board has hired N L Ede Limited, Electrical and Mechanical Consul tants, to check the school's heating and ventilating system. The Revised 1978 Budget, in the total amount of $2,340,000. was approved. Two Banking Services proposals submitted by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Terrace Bay and the Bank of Montreal Schreiber, were reviewed. The Board decided to remain with the Bank of Commerce. Mr. Joseph Kutcher, Religious Education Consultant, provid- ed the Board with a written report on his initial activities since commencing employment in September of this year. His re- port was well-received and Trustee Beauparlant, Chaiman of the Board, on behalf of the Board, thanked Mr. Kutcher for his fine presentation. : The resignation of Mrs. Betty Blier, General Office Secre- tary, Administration Office, was accepted, with regret, effec- tive November 30th, 1978. The Director provided the Board with School Reports which contained the organization of the school, school enrolment - classroom loading, community use of the school, and school objectives. It was noted that the Inaugural Meeting of the Board will take place on the third Saturday in December. The Board authorized the Director to investigate the poss- ibility of a professional exchange involving the Director and a Supervisory Officer from the Ministry of Education. Since Dr. and Mrs. Willke will be addressing the Board re- garding Family Life on Friday evening, November 10th, it was agreed that the next regular meeting of the Board wou d be held on Saturday, November 11th at 9:30 a.m. in St. Martin School.
