ARENA UPDATE: As a result of the October 10th Council meeting, Council will write to the Ministry of Labour to see if they can open the arena for the coming season; the arena will remain closed until word (positive or negative) is received from this min- istry. Our submission to Wintario, the Community Recreation Centre Act has been completed and sent to the Ministry of Culture and Recreation. |t'is hoped positive word will be received back from Toronto within the next couple of weeks. We still need to raise from the public/private sector $183,000.00. At this time, due to climatical factors, the chances of any part of the complex starting seems remote.
