Father G. Pinette (a close friends of the groom's family) officiated. The Church was decorated with green plants, and green and yellow candles on the altar, with taped music being played. The Altar girls were Giselle and Lynne Trudeau. The bride given in marriage by her parents, was beautiful in a very simple styled gown of white interlock knit with V-neck (lace edged); flared sleeves, wide midriff-type bodice and softly draped skirt gathered at the midriff. The bride's veil was of fine white lace with a narrowly crocheted edge at elbow length and headband of tiny white and yellow roses. She carried seven yellow roses in an am bouquet. The Maid of Honour was Nancy Phillips (from Thunder Bay); Bridesmaids were Frances Cooke and Rosalie-Anne Kettle (sisters of the bride) and Junior bridesmaids were Jackie Robinson and Michelle Fowler (nieces of the groom). The Flower girl was Lydia Robinson (the groom's niece). The older girls dresses were of interlocking knit, deep V-neck, flared sleeves of white raschelle lace, with band at empire waist, self-ties at back and softly draping skirts. Nancy's was leaf green, Frances' and Rosalie's were pale mint green. The Junior girls wore pale mint green dresses of interlocking knit, flared sleeves, V-neck with lace edged collar, and bands with no ties. Lydia's dress was of white cotton with green flower print. The girls wore a single yellow rose in their hair and Lydia had a halo of baby's breath. They carried three roses in an arm bouquet and Lydia carried a wicker basket with yellow roses, daisies and baby's breath. The Best Man was Bob Durnin of Vermilion Bay and Ushers were Bert Sombrutski of Dryden, Tom Pilipishen of Vermilion Bay (brother of the groom) and Ring Bearer was Simeon Pilipishen (nephew of the groom). At a reception held in the Lion's Hall, Vermillion Bay the bride's mother wore a dress of light blue knit, with lace insert at neckline and matching blue lace coat. She wore a corsage of three white roses and blue ribbon. The groom's mother chose a coral knit blouse with scarf collar, long beige skirt with coral and blue flower print, Her corsage was three white roses and blue ribbon. The toast to the bride was made by the bride's uncle Arthur Beaulieu of Terrace Bay. The toast to the groom was given by Nancy Phillips. The guest book was circulated by Jackie Robinson and Michelle Fowler. The bride and groom cut the wedding cake at a table with yellow candles in wooden holders. The cake was made by Joy Robinson (groom's sister) and was two square layers, top layer round and set on four pillars topped with a ring of yellow roses; white icing all over with small yeli- ow roses around all edges and circling pillars.
