Tn its public notice dated May 18, 1978, "Broad casting Service to Small Remote Communities", The. Com- mission issued a call for applications end indicated * it would hold a public hearing in Thunder Bey, Ontario, to consider applications and comments. comments. The Commission will hold its Public Hearing in two parts. The first part of the hearing will be devoted to general comments as to how broadcasting services mey be improved in remote communities and the issues involved. The second part will be devoted to the presentation of the applications and the inter- ventions. The applications for Northern Ontaric submitted by Mr. David Brough, as indicated in the Commission's Mey 18, 1978 Public Notice, will be heard im the segond part of the hearing, together with all applica- tions received in response to the foregoing Publie Notice. In the May 18, 1978 notice, the Commission stated that 1% would wish to consider 10 criterias identified in the notice, in assessing such applications. In order to give this matter the widest possible consideration, the Commission has decided to hear all applicatations proposing service to remote communities in Northern Ontario even though some of the applications are incomplete. In view of this, documents to complete proposals submitted, will be accepted up to the time epplications are heard, provided such documents-are also served upon intervenore and/or applicants who wish to provide "service in the same community at the same time, It should however be recognized that incomplete applications could oreate delays in the provision of the service proposed.
