IF they have no previous experience with this program for the years before. Those having experience will be up one level. In order to take the greatest advantage this program and our surrounding region offers, it is hoped to start with the fundamentals and build from this for the future. Registration will also be on June 16, 1978. MINOR BASEBALL: Registrations for this program have been in the schools for two weeks with the deadline for returning of applications gone by; we have extended the deadline. TERRACE BAY RECREATION REPORT CONTINUED: He commenced work on Monday, June 12th, and is interested in talking to parents, youth and children, in regard to plans for this summer's programme. | you have any ideas, drop in to the Recreation Office and talk to Keith. SWIM POOL OPENING: Work is proceeding with the preparation of the swim pool for this summer and we hope it will be ready for use on Mon- day, June 19th, weather also pemitting. We are very fortunate to have Misses Cindy Thompson and Leigh Ann McBride as Pool Manager and Assistant Manager again this year. Swim instruction registration forms will be distributed through the schools sometime this week. Persons must be mem- bers of the Terrace Bay Recreation Association to register for swim lessons. Gillen Chairman Di rector SCHREIBER TOWN COUNCIL SETS MILL RATES At a recent meeting of the Township of Schreiber Council the mill rates for 1978 were set. The General Estimates require $229, 605 for Municipal Purposes, and a Corresponding mill rate of 133.741 for Public School supporters, which includes requirements for elementary and secondary school. This is up 9.175 mills from 1977. The combined sep- - arate school rate is 135.094 up by 10.438 mills. The combined commercial public rate 7 is 157.341 up to 10.794 mills and the commercial separate rate is 158. 933 up 12.279 mills. The projects planned for this year include storm sewers on Bayview and Winnipeg Street, south of Park St. The purchase of a new front end loader, backhoe, major sidewalk res- oration, water line on Langworthy Street west from Peary St. Final arrangements are now being made whereby the Ministry of North- ern Affairs will be making a grant to enable the Township to install water and sewer lines on Peary St. north to Langworthy St., thereby allowing the Township to continue these services west on tangworthy St. The site for the .new arena will also be-serviced.
