PAGE 12 TERRACE BAY NEWS NAY 3, 1978 Holy ngdlerSeboct On Wednesday April 26, the Kindergarten class of Holy Angels School went shopping at the "Flowers N Things" flower shop. As part of a "Spring Planting" project, the children purchased potting soil and seeds. Mrs. Annette Campbell, proprietor, gave all nineteen children a tour of her shop where they had a chance to go into the walk in 'fridge' and look at all the flowers, plants, etc. When they were leaving, Mrs. Campbell presented a lovely pink and white carnation to each child for their mothers. Thank you Mrs. Campbell! - Mr. Doug Granger from the Ministry of Natural Resources in Manitouwadge, visited Holy Angels School on Thursday, April 27th. He gave a very interesting slide presentation on how the Ministry fights forest fires. We look forward to Mr. Granger's annual visits to help keep us all vigilant during the year regarding safe forest conduct. NORTH SHORE BRIDGE CLUB Fourteen pairs competed Sunday evening of this week in the- Bridge night. Results for the north/south positions were: 1st - P, Gillen and Father Moore, 2nd - Kay Heckiey and L. Fraser, 3rd = P, Courtney and S, Zydarewicz; in the east/west position results were: 1st = R, Mikkonen and M, White, 2nd - A, Furyk and G, Gordon, 3rd = -T, and D. Conklin. ~ High School As many of our club members will be playing in the Gerald- ton Tournament this weekend, there will be no regular bridge = on Sunday, May 7th. Lessons are held Tuesday evenings in Terrace Bay at the at 7:30 p.m. Thursday lessons have been cancelled at the moment due to insufficient enrollment. ST. MARTIN SCHOOL SURVEY In order to plan realistically for the future, St. Martin School, is completing a survey of the community. in an attempt to identify all pre-school children who will be attending St. Martin School in the next few years. Through personal contact, the Church bulletin, memos from school to home, as well as notices in the Terrace Bay News, endeavours have been made to contact every -parent of eligible students. The school thanks all for their cooperation with this sur- vey and for the infomation necessary for decision making. SCHREIBER SOCIAL: _ Hugh McMullen of Sudbury, who grew up in Schreiber, enjoyed reunions with old friends while the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Cosgrove. Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCuaig of Capreol visited Mrs. Inez McCuaig, enroute home after touring Hew Mexico and practicing their avocation as rock hounds.
