For her spiritual reading, Mrs. Haas recited the poem "What God has * Planned". The various conveners gave their manthly reports. First Communion and Graduation gifts are being ordered by Mrs. Luke. A donation was made to the Parish towards flowers for the altar at faster. 3 { Mrs. Cavanaugh was presented with her 50 year pin at her home. A formal presentation will be made at a later date. A Mass will be said in honour of Our Lady of Good Council on April 28th. 'The Diocesan Convention will be held on May 9, 10, and 11th fat St. Patrick's Cathedral in Thunder Bay. Our next meeting will be held on May 7, 1978. This will include installation of officers, benediction and membership tea. The meeting was adjourned and then the annual meeting fol- Jowed. The president gave her yeariy report. She thanked the executive and 211 the members who had worked on different convenorships and projects. Conveners gave their annual re- ports. - The meeting wad turned over to the Chaiman of the Nominat- ing Committee, M,C. Kennedy. The following slate of officers were called up and presented: Director - Rev. M, Murtagh; President - Mrs. L, Belliveau; Past President - Mrs. M.C. Kennedy; 1st Vice Presidant - Mrs. Claire Roen; 2nd Vice Pres- § ident - Mrs. Corrie Haas, 3rd Vice President -"Mrs. Kathleen Et Mikkonen; Secretary - Mrs. . Yolande Rajotte. Ann Johnston; Treasurer - Mrs. Mrs. L. Belliveau accepted the gavel and thanked M.C. Ken- nedy for her work and all the members who let their name stand. [ Mrs. Mary Dashkewytch, Diocesan Convenor, congratulated the league on a good year. Father Murtagh then gave a short talk on the work the ladies are doing. He thanked the old and new executive and then gave 'his blessing. STUDENTS NAMED TO HONOR ROLL Edward St. Denis and Lucille St. Denis have been named to the henor roll of the Mooseheart High School for the second semester of the current school year, it was announced by Arnold Olson, High School Principal. Edward is a junior and Lucille a senior at the school. They are sponsored at Mooseheart by Terrace Bay Moose Lodge No. 1752. NORTH SHORE BRIDGE CLUB Winners this week were as follows: N/S division: A. Speziale and P, Guina first; R. & C. Handy 2nd; E/W Division - T. & D. Conklin 1st; L. Neelin and B, Gielau 2nd.
