APRIL 19, 1978 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE ! HOSPITAL NEWS TERRACE BAY KINSMEN AND KINETTES TO FURNISH PEDIATRIC COMPLEX: The Kinsmen and Kinettes of Terrace Bay have taken, as their hospital project, the furnishing of the Pediatric Complex in the new McCausland Hospital. The Pediatric patient care area will consist of three (3) rooms. One room, for small children will be furnished with two stainless steel cribs, bedside chests, and other furniture nec- essary for this room. The second room is for Juniors (children) but will have adult sized beds so it can be used by an adult if necessary plus other furniture associated with a hospital room. The third room is a playroom which also doubles as overnight accommodation for a mother whose child is a patient. The play- room will be situated between the two bedrooms. In January '78 the Kinsmen and Kinettes presented a cheque of $1200 to the Building Fund, a great beginning for their worthwhile project. HOSPITAL UPDATE WINTER CARNIVAL AIDS BUILDING FUND: The beginning of April, 1978, Derek Wills, on behalf of the Winter Carnival Committee, presented two cheques to the McCaus- land Hospital Building Fund. One cheque of $300. was from the 1977 Winter Carnival and the second cheque of $525. from the 1978 Winter Carnival. : Qur thanks for all who whrked so hard to provide this "fun event" for all and for the contribution to the building fund. WEEKEND FOR TWO NETS $1,615.85: All "returns" are in and bills paid, leaving a total of $1,615.85 for the building fund. Incidently this project, with the exception of the ticket sellers, was the work of one person, and not that of the Hospital Auxiliary, as stated in the Times News. (Thunder ay). CORRECTION: During the first week of April the Times News of Thunder B published an article about the availability of Medical Record with statements from various hospitals in this area. § The Board of Governors of the McCausland Hospi tal feel there might be some misunderstanding in the statement attribut -ed to the availability of Medical Records at the McCausland Hospi tal. i d A11 medical records belong to the McCausland Hospital. The are for the use of the Doctors, only, as an aid for patient care. Patient's privacy, at all times, is as important to us (Board) as to the patient. The same policy exists in the Doctor's Clinic.
