PAGE 12 TERRACE BAY NEWS APRIL 19, 1978+ BIRCHWOOD TERRACE EVENTS The Sunday Night Cribbage Tournament at Birchwood Terrace is going to switch to Tuesdays, commencing April 25th at 7:30 p.m. in their Recreation Room. Winners this past Sunday were: High - Alex Tweedie and Gertrude Cotton; second = Rita Corrigan and August Rentz. Honours this week went to Mary Chadwell and Jewel Scott. The evening concluded with coffee and a beautifully decorated cake saying "Let's Play Cards" a surprise from Jewel Scott. Everyone is welcome at these cribbage sessions. GAMES NIGHT ~- Games Night at Birchwood Terrace got off to a fine start Thursday evening despite a set back of one week due to a nasty stom. A very gratifying number of visitors from Schreiber and Terrace Bay matched up their varied skills with residents as they competed for prizes in Shuffleboard, Bridge, Cribbage and Whist. The laughter and shouts of glee pealing through the lobby were infectious as many whose interests were not on cards, suddenly found themselves sure-fire competitors on the Shuffleboard. A very fine evening was enjoyed by all participating and coffee and Tunch served following thie by May Dorland and her committee. Winners were: Whist High Dar- lene Zroback, Low Eircne Harness; Bridge High Elva McMillan, Low Paul Trussier; Shuffleboard High Bill Gerow, Low Russ MacAdam; Cribbage High Cliff Riley and Fred McMillan, Low Bill Gerow and Russ MacAdam.
