McParland were among over 1,400 delegates representing electric utility commissions from across the province at the Annual Meeting of the Ontario Municipal Electric Association (0.M.E.A,), February 27 & 28th. The Association is the spokesman for more than 340 munici- pal utilities throughout Ontario, the commissioners and counci- Tlors of which were elected to operate a specialized municipal service and thus represerit more than two million residential, commercial and industrial customers served by the municipal distribution systems, and who consume two-thirds of the elec- tric power in Ontario. ; Delegates to the two day Annual Meeting held at the Royal York Hotel, Toronto, were involved in discussions on a number of signigicant issues that have or will affect their consum- ers.' Roman Catholic Separate School Board The North of Superior District Roman Catholic Separate School Board held its regular meeting on Saturday, February 18, 1978, in Holy Angels School, Schreiber, Additional information was made available to the Board re- garding the Religious Studies program being offered in Thunder Bay this summer. Principals are contacting staff members to ascertian the total number who will attend from this system. The Principals will assume half-time teaching assignments when school enrolment falls below 150 full-time pupils. The Ministry has approved the Community School Development Application submitted by the Board. The $9,500 grant is for the employment of a Community School Co-ordinator, Discussion was held and it was agreed that additional information on the role of a community school be available for the March meeting.
